Winter Solstice Celebration

December 20th from 4:30-6 PM at Swain’s Lock

A ritual to honor the change in the balance of light and darkness.

Come and enjoy some music, movement, a fire, goodies, and connection as we mark the turning of the seasons. In the spirit of the season, this event is only $20, or bring a snack to share as your donation!

Come dressed in plenty of layers and bring a camp chair if you have one!

In May of 2023, Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy declared an epidemic of loneliness in the United States.  The Western ideal of individualism is harming us.

Woman Stands Shining (Pat McCabe, Diné, Lakota) teaches us about the sacred hoop by which we are all connected.  If one part of the hoop fails, the entire hoop starts to unravel.  McCabe writes, “I can’t be well if you’re not well.”

Groups give us the chance to check in with one another; to learn the answer to, “Are you well?”  And if you are not well, what can we do to help you be well?
